1 1/4 lbs    Fresh mushrooms, rinsed  
1   medium Bermuda or Spanish onion, sliced into rings  
2/3 cup    white vinegar  
1/2 cup    salad oil  
0.13 tsp    garlic powder  
1 Tbs    sugar  
1 1/2 tsp    salt  
1 dash    freshly ground pepper  
1 dash    hot pepper sauce  
1 pinch    parsley flakes  
1 pinch    sweet basil  
 
Combine all ingredients. Boil 3 minutes.
